Visited the Currier Museum of Art yesterday to see a special exhibit on samurai weapons and armor. Unfortunately, we weren’t allowed to take pictures inside the exhibit (I was itching to take some photos of the swords), but I ended up getting some shots of some of my favorite pieces in the museum.

The one at the top is a ginormous altarpiece from the Middle Ages. The two below that are Nydia, the Blind Flower Girl of Pompeii by Randolph Rogers and a John Singer Sargent portrait. The two below those are a bust of Alexander Hamilton (loving the smirk) and a seriously tricked-out wooden cabinet. And the three below those are a pair of incredibly detailed bronze sculptures, a sculpture of Pegasus found in the Modern Art wing, and a bust of George Washington.

About sirnot1

Hej. I am Swedish-Turkish-Portugese something living in New York. I love to study early music instruments and play baroque violin, cello, viola, and hopefully soon viola de gamba. People who inspire me include Jean-Baptiste Lully (I can relate to his life story), Bill Gates, Louis XIV, Marin Marias, and Victoria Reaney :). My favourite composer is Lully and I really don't like classical after baroque (Mozart sounds fake to me). My Twitter:!/Sirnot1 My Instagram: Facebook: (I will only friend you if I know you though)
